I have been going here for almost 3 years. As a foreigner, I never had an issue before. As I am a holder of international insurance, they will always take my blood, check my details and send me an invoice that I pay and send to my insurance. There has always been great service exept for today. The lady that was there was extremely rude, she asked for my insurance card that she did not accept, said I cant do it as I have been and I need to pay to someone she called over the phone otherwise she wont do a blood test. I said I am happy to pay on spot through EFTPOS even though they did not provide me with an invoice details. She said that's impossible and I need to tell someone my card details over the phone. The nurse was very rude and I did not like such behavior As I have always paid everything up to date. In the end the guy on the phone said ok, just do it as usual. There I was left with very rude nurse that was taking my blood. I believe there should be a procedure for international people, not to pay for something over the phone to someone you dont know and dont know the cost. I think it was very unprofessional behaviour that does not belong to health care and left me even more anxious about my blood test.
